Career Services for Individuals
We provide one to one career counselling for people who are looking to make a career change or seeking career direction.
Whether you are in an unfulfilling job, have been made redundant or you simply feel there is something out there you should be doing but don’t know what it is, then we can help.
Based on our backgrounds in career psychology and our years of experience supporting clients with their career changes we have developed a structured process that helps you find out what you should be doing in life, and make the most of your strengths and ability.
The key to finding your ideal career direction is within yourself, so we ensure you develop an in-depth self-understanding based on a thorough assessment of your skills, interests, values, personality, strengths and experience.
We look at where you are in your life and analyse occupational and lifestyle choices and best fit. We provide support in effective decision making and action-planning to ensure ideas become a reality. As psychologists we are equipped to help address barriers that may be holding you back and ensure the right frame of mind for successful career change.
The Bloom Process
Once you get in touch by email or phone via our contact page we will arrange a free consultation either on the phone or in person to discuss your situation and how we can help.
We will then email you an outline of our recommendations, such as the number of sessions (usually 4-6) and if you are happy then we will get going.
In general we see clients for hourly sessions in person to provide the best level of support. These sessions are thought-provoking, insightful, creative and structured for you.
The aim is to make constructive progress at every stage. Between sessions we will provide you with assignments to complete, these speed up progress, provide self-generated motivation and develop self-sustaining career skills.
After each session we e-mail a summary of outcomes and action plans. We find that seeing progress in writing often brings about breakthrough moments.
