Rob Archer,  BA (Hons), Grad Dip Psych, MSc

Rob spent 11 years as a management consultant where he worked with a wide variety of clients in areas such as change management and performance improvement. During this time he worked at PA Consulting Group and helped set up Serco Consulting, which is now one of the UK’s leading consultancies.

Rob has re-trained to be a psychologist because he wanted to develop his understanding of how people make change in their lives – and how they sustain it.  

He co-founded Bloom Psychology to focus on working with individuals and applying psychology to unlock people’s potential. Rob's research at the University of London centred around how people find meaning at work.

Rob now specialises in providing: 

  • Career psychology and counselling, particularly in the area of career decision making
  • Applied sports psychology for individuals
  • Consultancy in the areas of behavioural change and employee engagement.

    Qualifications
    • MSc Occupational Psychology – University of London, Goldsmiths College, (Distinction)
    included dissertation which created a model of meaning for individuals at work, (Distinction).
    • Graduate Conversion Diploma in Psychology, London Metropolitan University, (Merit)
    included dissertation examining differences in career decision-making styles (Distinction).
    • Certificate in Counselling and Counselling Skills, University of London, Birkbeck College (Merit).
    • BA (Joint Hons) History and Politics, Kent University (1st Class Hons).

    Outside work Rob is a keen sportsman, playing particularly bad hockey in winter and increasingly bad cricket in summer.  He is a regular runner and has run four marathons.

    Rob also loves animals and once appeared on Channel 4's Faking It, along with another mongrel, Bobster (pictured).
