Bloom Psychology is committed to increasing awareness and reducing stigma around perinatal mental health challenges through education. Dr. Jordan aims to provide opportunities for people to connect with others who have experienced similar challenges to build community and reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness, particularly in the perinatal period. You will find information below about educational materials and resources for patients, family members, and loved ones.

Postpartum Support International

Postpartum Support International (PSI) has a number of valuable resources, including:

  • PSI helpline in English and Spanish (1-800-499-4773) - You can call or text this number to speak with a trained volunteer between 8am to 11pm EST.

  • National Maternal Mental Health Hotline (1-833-852-6262) - You can call or text this confidential hotline for pregnant and new moms, 24/7. Interpreter services are available in 60 languages.

  • Online support groups - Trained facilitators lead this support groups, which offer an opportunity for you to connect with other parents and learn about helpful tools and resources. You can visit the website to view topics for various support groups.

 

HAND of the Bay Area

Helping After Neonatal Death (HAND) of the Bay Area is an organization that offers empathic peer support to parents and their loved ones who are grieving the loss of a baby before, during, or after birth.
